Wicked Rush, Book 2, Club Altura Series. What a great follow up, prepare yourself to be set on fire by Lars Elliott OMG!

Set in southern California, Lars is a live on the edge man, very dominating in all things work and personnel. He finds himself at the end of Carnal Risk, caught in a hail of gunfire rescuing a woman he doesn't know but seems to know him.

Dr. Braelynn Rollins is a marine biologist, her life takes a deadly turn and she ends up mixed up in a world of danger and no way to escape from it. When Lars and Braelynn's path cross it's a steamy ride. Lars wants to know the truth what is Brae hiding and he's determined to find out at any cost. When he discovers that friends whom he trust may be in on what Brae is hiding, and putting her life in danger he will do anything to keep her safe.

Lars isn't supposed to fall hard for a woman, it's not in his plans, there is something about Brae, he wants to draw her in to see what she is hiding and bring her into his world of fast living and pleasure. Brae has been attracted to Lars for some time and has desires that she's never been able to play out. Lars introduces Brae to his friend Seth and Club Altura ,which opens up a world she never knew existed. With danger surrounding them at every turn and passion that is off the charts, Wicked Rush is the perfect title for this book. The rush and fast paced of the secrets unfolding that Brae has been keeping with a lot of wickedness you don't want to miss out on this book .

I think that JM Darhower is the master when writing Mafia romance, this book much like, By Any Other Name, is so much more than just romance they honestly need a new category all of their own.

This book is two stories that come together with an explosive ending. We catch up with Matteo and Gen from book one, loved them and was so happy to read what was happening after they both escaped the wrath of their fathers. We also get the story of Dante Galante and Gabriella. Dante is a very complexed character loyal to his father and what he's been raised to believe about his family and the cost of what it means to be a Galante, but things change for Dante, in the beginning, we see him not being afraid of death he's almost been there several times.
When Gabriella comes into his life and the truth about his father really comes to light it sets Dante on a path, one he's fighting with because of his family loyalties. Amazing book and series, don't miss out on this one

In case this is the first you’ve heard about this series, these books star Mason, Thad, and Pierce, three powerful warlock brothers, who have stumbled into a dark conspiracy that threatens their lives and the lives of those they love. In the first two books, the brothers have found love as they traveled further down the magical rabbit hole of evil that waits to devour them. In Soul Struck, Pierce, the eldest, wrestles away the role of narrator from his younger brothers, and we get to experience the world of magic through Pierce’s eyes. This book also closes out the first story arc in this series, and we get to meet the young shifter who flies straight into Pierce’s soul.

Jacob Z. Flores lives a double life. During the day, he is a respected college English professor and mid-level administrator.
